Director of  Strategic Business Unit (SBU) Sales - Key Accounts

Motivated sales professional with a sense of urgency and a can-do attitude committed to growing the bottom-line, expanding the market share, continually exceeding assigned sales goals and wanting to be recognized as the top sales person.

Essential Functions

  • Take charge of the complete sales activity for your geographic territory.  Proactively sell on-site machining solutions primarily through inbound and outbound phone calls.  Provide outstanding customer focus with the goal of building lasting customer relationships.  Conceptual thinker who listens to customers to fully understand the application then recommends and provides appropriate solutions. 
  • Owns the entire account acquisition process from initial prospecting through service implementation which includes forecasting, call planning, cold calling, managing the sales funnel, pro-active pipeline management and accurate pipeline staging, proposal generation, contract negotiation, credit approval, sales data management, and exceeding monthly revenue objectives.   
  • Manages multiple projects and sees each to successful conclusion.  Sells to a variety of buying influences, generally mid-to-upper level managers, occasionally C-Level buyers.  Quickly comprehends product/industry knowledge and technology.  Fully understands competitive positioning and market buying behavior in addition to the four products, positioning, promotion, and pricing relative to competitive environment and market conditions. 
  • Uses sound judgment and business acumen to prepare activity and forecast reports.  Develops basic account territory plans that include detailed account insight, competitive knowledge, organizational structure, white knights, top account information, total solution activity and future opportunities and/or threats. 
  • Strong mentor and role model to others on sales team to ensure their success and career development.  Savvy interpersonal skills and excellent communicator willing to challenge the status quo.   
  • Coordinates and shares knowledge and information with other inside/outside sales associates for the benefit of the customer and the company to grow the business based on increased market share and developing new products.  Identifies problems and then assists and participates in problem solving of process/procedures or product improvements by identifying trends, problems, market changes and customer feedback.
  • Provides comprehensive timely territory/pipeline activity reports, new prospect lists, sales forecasts and action plans to maintain required sales targets.  Develops, implements, and meets regional and corporate sales forecasts and budgets.  Manages customer relationships and develops strategic and tactical plans to optimize the sales potential for assigned accounts.  Enters and maintains up-to-date customer data and detailed customer information into the customer relationship management software.  Assists with compiling credit information and making credit collections.
  • Develops and initiates contact between established and potential customers to maximize sales within assigned territory.  Applies Sandler Selling techniques to maximize ability to cultivate new accounts and close sales orders.  Utilizes professional publications, business directories, industry ads, trade shows, leads, websites, and other sources to develop and follow-up with prospective customers.  Implements the entire sales process from initial contact through qualification to closing the sale. 
  • Conducts professional in-house and/or on-site technical presentations and/or product demonstrations as needed to support customer requirements.  Assists in trade show exhibitions.  Maintains complete technical knowledge of company, products, capabilities and possible solutions.  Attends required sales training courses and applies learning.  Fully understands, follows and utilizes company policies and procedures, i.e. quotations, return authorizations, pricing/payment terms, credit, leasing and warranty decisions. 
  • Willing to work overtime, weekends, holidays and participate in rotating 24-hour service, on-call rotation if necessary.  Remain professional during periods of pressure from deadlines, interruptions and demanding schedules.  Travel required up to 75%.

Lead Illustrator / Document Control Administrator

Primary responsibility is to serve as the voice of the product. Compose technical data sheets as a foundation for other documents that communicate information to the customer. Based on the technical data, develop world class international literature, with a graphical theme, necessary for our customers to acquire needed information and to solicit business while protecting Climax from a legal perspective. Examples include but are not limited to instruction books, catalogs, reports, product line literature and related technical publications. Responsible for creating and maintaining a world class document control system in an industrial manufacturing environment.

Essential Functions

  • Interviews production and engineering personnel and reads journals, manuals, reports, and other material to become familiar with product technologies, operation, maintenance, and service of equipment. 
  • Studies blueprints, sketches, drawings, parts lists, specifications, mock-ups, and product samples to integrate and graphically communicate technology, operating procedure, and production sequence and detail.  Insures operation processes outlined in manuals are accurate and appropriate.
  • Organizes material and completes writing assignments according to deadlines and sets standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology.
  • Selects photographs, drawings, sketches, diagrams, and charts to illustrate material. Assists in lay-out of material for publication.
  • Reviews published material and recommends revisions or changes in scope, format, content, and methods of reproduction and binding. Maintains records and files of work and revisions.
  • Maintains knowledge of CE technical data file requirements.  Creates and maintains CE compliant technical data files. Creates and maintains CE compliant product operator manuals.
  • Develops and maintains standardized formats for technical literature to support user and business sector initiatives.
  • Creates and maintains sales support data sheets and information.
  • Creates and maintains comprehensive and professional technical instructions, documents and drawings for the operation, set-up, test, inspection and troubleshooting of machine set-up and applications. 
  • Develops and maintains all document controls.  Creates database to track and record required information and effectively and efficiently retrieves the documents for revision controls. 
  • Assembles information, creates and maintains engineering processes and procedures such as CAD/CAM drafting and engineering standards and quality manuals.
  • Creates detailed work instructions and technical documentation. 
  • Interfaces with Engineering, Sales, Marketing and Manufacturing to successfully fulfill the above duties and responsibilities.

Education/Experience

  • Associates degree (AA) from two-year college, and four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in the area of document control and technical writing. 
  • Prior experience using ISO process and procedures a plus.
  • The ability to set up and run standard Climax portable machines is preferred. 
  • Experience with AutoCAD 2000, Mechanical Desktop and Inventor CAD software required. 
  • Must have the ability to translate files from AutoCAD format to PC based desktop publishing software.
  • PC based computer experience essential; MS Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop and digital cameras.
  • Attention to detail and strong communication and interpersonal skills a must.

Machinist

Performs various machining processes on a variety of machine tools.  The machinist is responsible for the quality of their work and is experienced at inspection and familiar with other quality assurance techniques.

Essential Functions:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following on CNC and/or Manual Machinery. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Performs all routine machine tool setups.
  • Will operate a variety of machine tools including lathes, milling machines, grinders, hones, etc.
  • Initiates process improvements including fixture design, tooling upgrades and works with other support team members to follow through on implementation.
  • Performs all quality and measurement functions as related to the machining of components.
  • Confers with engineers, production personnel, programmers, or others to resolve machining problems.
  • Performs any secondary operations as necessary to complete the process in its entirety.
  • Assists all cell team members as needed to ensure that team goals are met.

Education/Experience

Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or four to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Network Administrator

Responsible for overseeing the LAN/WAN environment as an integral part of the Information Technology Team providing input for all offices globally through continuous improvement efforts and breakthrough thinking.  This is a key position expected to leverage productivity and provide superior customer service.

Essential Functions

  • Oversee the day-to-day operational activities of staff in the delivery of their job responsibilities.
  • Lead and motivate team members to achieve performance goals.  Provide recommendations on the training and development needs of staff and provides coaching and on-the-job training where required.
  • Assists in the development of objectives, strategies and plans aimed at achieving customer satisfaction and meeting corporate goals.
  • Assists with the creation and maintenance of process and procedural documentation.
  • Provides team measurements regarding on-time delivery of product or other productivity measures.
  • Assists in developing process plans including people, resources, equipment, and floor space as needed.
  • Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
  • Assists team members in solving work problems.  Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
  • Reviews production schedules and orders to ascertain product data such as types, quantities, and specifications of products and scheduled delivery dates in order to plan team operations.
  • Follows production operations, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products.
  • Follows operational schedules and coordinates manufacturing activities to ensure production and quality of products meets specifications.
  • Reviews production schedules and orders to ascertain product data such as types, quantities, and specifications of products and scheduled delivery dates in order to plan team operations.
  • Follows production and operating reports and resolves operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.
  • Assists with the scheduling of routine maintenance work orders for shop equipment to ensure performance and optimum utilization.
  • Follows standard safety and working practices and observes team members to ensure compliance with standards.

Education/Experience

  • Five+ years related experience in network administration; BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration required in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience preferably in manufacturing.
  • Experience with IP addressing, basic routing functions, DHCP and LDAP.
  • Thorough knowledge of Network WAN and LAN services (LDAP, DNS, DHCP, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Voice over IP equipment, implementation and support methods.
  • Backup & Restore with Backup Exec for Linux, NetWare and Windows.
  • MS Backup services.
  • Experience in implementing, performing, and testing data backups.
  • Hands-on hardware and software troubleshooting experience.
  • Knowledge of various network cabling and topologies.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Experienced in Active Directory use, setup, and implementation.
  • Strong working knowledge of Windows XP desktop administration, maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Solid background in Microsoft office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).

Standard Machine Product Marketing Manager

The Standard Machine Product manager is responsible for product planning, definition and marketing.  This includes managing the product throughout the product lifecycle, gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with engineering to deliver winning products.  It also includes working with sales, marketing and support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met.  The Product Manager's job also includes ensuring that the product and marketing efforts support the company's overall strategy and goals.

Essential Functions

  • Define overall product strategy and roadmap.
  • Conduct customer surveys/focus panels to identify primary customer needs and opportunities.
  • Develop customer-driven product specifications with prioritized features and corresponding justification.
  • As necessary, work with external third parties to assess partnerships and licensing opportunities.
  • Be an expert with respect to the competition.
  • Develop the core positioning and messaging for the product.
  • Perform product demos to customers and distributors.
  • Set pricing to meet revenue and profitability goals.
  • Deliver annual unit and revenue forecasts by month.

  • Excellent teamwork skills.
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.
  • Must be able to travel 15% of the time.
